Email hello@theafterword.app. Tell us what you were doing and what you saw, and include your iPhone model and iOS version if something went wrong.
Your subscription
- Cancel. Afterword Pro is billed by Apple. Open the Settings app on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions, then Afterword. Cancel at least a day before it renews to avoid the next charge.
- Restore. Bought Pro on another device or reinstalled the app? In Afterword, open Settings and tap Restore purchases.
- Refunds. Apple handles refunds. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
AI help
Idea cards are written by Anthropic's AI from your highlights, and voice notes are typed up by OpenAI. Afterword asks before sending anything to either. To change your choice, open Settings in Afterword and use the AI help switch. With it off, your books, highlights and typed notes still work.
If idea cards don't appear for a book, Afterword tries again on its own. Your highlights are always kept.
Your account and data
- Delete your account. In Afterword, open Settings, then Delete account. This removes your books, highlights, notes and cards.
